AMSI was started in January 2017 by the Lead Inspector Philip Andrews B.S.c., MIMarEST, to close the gap between a technical and regulatory advisor.

Philip has always had a passion for ships since he was a little boy, after receiving a hand made model of the boat St. Ola, he then travelled with this model on the real St. Ola, sailing past the Old Man of Hoy, it was then he knew he wanted to be a Seafarer.

From the age of 12, Philip started progressing his marine passion by joining the Sea Cadet Corps. Philip proceeded over the next 30 years to travel the world in various marine positions, with his most recent employment being in the Middle East for one of the worlds largest oil companies.
